The Society
The Hong Kong Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (HKSTAM) is a
member of The International
Union of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (IUTAM), and was founded in
1996. Its aims include promotion of science in mechanics and its
applications, and to facilitate effective cooperation and collaboration
between researchers in Hong Kong and in the international community.

HKSTAM Annual Conference 2023
The 26th Annual Conference of HKSTAM 2023 in conjunction with the 18th Shanghai - Hong Kong Forum on Mechanics and Its Application will be held on April 15, 2023.

MEMBERSHIP
There are two categories of individual membership:
Qualified researchers and professionals working in the general fields of solid and fluid mechanics may join as Members. Bona fide research students working in related fields may join as Student Members. To join as either Member or Student Member, you should seek nomination from two Members of the Society. The Secretary may be contacted for an updated list of current Members of the Society.
ANNUAL FEES AND SPECIAL DISCOUNT
The annual fees and special discount rate are:
| Member | HK$ 200/yr, HK$ 500/3 yrs, HK$ 2,000/full member |
| Student Member | HK$ 50/yr |
| Institution Member | HK$ 2,000/yr |
Please send a cheque made payable to "Hong Kong Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics" together with the completed Registration form to the Secretary.
